About this class

The Ride is an interactive metrics-based cycling class moving and weaving you through exciting virtual worlds, pushing you to be better than you were yesterday.  You’ll be driven by music, you’ll be driven by speed, you’ll be driven by heart rate, and you’ll be driven by the desire to set your own record each and every ride.  Each class closes with an upper body band workout hitting your core and arms before we send you on your way.

Love this so much more than your typical cycling class. The screen and changes in movements are awesome, the bikes moving side to side mean for a more intense workout and the instructor and front desk staff were very helpful and knowledgeable!

First Wind is one of my favorite studios in Charlotte! Always a challenging workout and lots of motivating instructors!

Bethany has great energy and was very approachable. Music was really upbeat and made the class go by quickly.

This was my first time on a Ryder bike and I need to try it a couple times before giving a fair review. My first impression: The workout did not feel as challenging (Cardio wise) as a Flywheel or Cyclebar class but that may have been my problem for not pushing myself into the red zones. The acoustics of the studio made it difficult to hear (and see) the instructor as well as the board for your stats, but I was in the back row (I am 41 so maybe it is my old eyes!!). I really liked the band arm workout at the end of class- nice variation. Lastly, my saddle is fairly well conditioning for cycling but this bike seat was a bugger and left me feeling beat up/tender mid way through the class. I am sure you get used to it, but caught me off guard during the class.

How to prepare

The studio has cycling shoes for students to borrow as well as towels and water. All of these amenities are available at no charge! (Insider's Tip: The bikes MOVE!) NOTE: If a user is not present within 5 minutes of the start of class, the waitlist will open up and another member may claim that seat.

What is ClassPass?
