About this class

This is a COED CLASS. Please note that our locker room will be women only and our men guests will be able to rinse off on the deck. We are providing small temporary changing room upstairs. By combining quick and powerful exercises on and off the Aquabike, this explosive class is designed to train your re-activeness, enhance neuromuscular efficiency, increase speed and improve core stabilization. It starts with a warm-up of the legs and core activation off the bike and continues with interval drills on and off the bike, incorporating your favorite sprints, jumps and arms exercises on the bike with new moves off the bike such as lateral leg raises, jumping jacks, tuck jumps, lunges to challenge your speed, core and balance. You will feel mentally and physically energized by this class and burn a lot of calories. AQUA requires that clients wear water shoes with a grip on the outer part of their sole; they cannot have been wore outside. If you do not have water shoes of your own, you may rent them from the studio for $2.

How to prepare

AQUA classes: 1. Be sure to take BLEND class for your 1st time and arrive at least 15min before class 2. Wear a comfortable + Supportive one-piece bathing suit or sports bra and bikini bottom. 3. Tip: Bring a waterproof bag for your wet clothes. 4. Mandatory water shoes. Available for $2 rental. 5. Swim cap not required, but hair must be pulled back. LAND & PRENATAL YOGA classes: NOT IN THE WATER 1. Comfortable gym/yoga clothes. No sneakers required. 2. Yoga mat rental available for $2. Water bottles available for purchase

How to get there

78 Franklin St. between Church St. and Broadway. (4 blocs from Canal St.) Subways: 1 6 A C E R N J Q NO LATE ARRIVALS WILL BE ALLOWED TO ENTER CLASS. FIRST TIME VISITORS for AQUA classes: New guest will not be allowed to check-in past 15-minutes prior to class. During this time you receive your towel, shoes and locker. Please arrive in the poolroom 10 minutes before class, to meet with your instructor for an introduction to Aquacycling and proper bike set-up. REPEAT GUESTS are required to arrive at least 5 minutes before class start.
