Taking a day off from class?
Enjoy one of these active adventure destinations in Santa Barbara.

1. Love Water Surf School

735 State St.
Santa Barbara, CA 93101

Whether you’re from out of town or local to the West Coast, it wouldn’t be a trip to Santa Barbara without taking a dip in the Pacific. Book a surf lesson with one of the most reputable companies in the area and you’ll add a taste of adventure into your beach day.

2. Sustainable Vine Wine Tours

Santa Barbara, CA 93101

Explore Santa Barbara’s stunning wine country through this unique tour experience. Indulge in some wine tasting, an outdoor picnic lunch (with an organic menu, might we add) and take in some breathtaking views.

3. Cabrillo Bike Path

1118 E Cabrillo Blvd
Santa Barbara, CA 93103

If you want to capture some ocean views without having a dedicated beach day, the Cabrillo Bike Path is the way to go. Rent some bikes, ride along the breezy 5-mile path and stop for a picnic in the park along the way.

4. Salt Cave

740 State St
Santa Barbara, CA 93101

If you’re headed to Santa Barbara, you’re most likely looking to chill and zen out for a bit. Find it at the Salt Cave, the largest underground crystal salt cave in North America, that has a menu of Himalayan salt treatments including massages, facials and sound baths.

5. Rattlesnake Canyon Trail

Rattlesnake Canyon Trail
California 93105

Hikers rejoice. This trail (don’t worry—the rattlesnake title is just a namesake) is one of the top hiking trails to visit when you’re in Santa Barbara. The 4 ½ mile hike is for moderate-level hikers and open all year round.
