there wasn’t really much structure...
Urban Krav Maga - St. Michael's Church Hall, SE3 9JL
Terrible experience in that the venue was not clear so turned up at the wrong venue and lost my points as Class Pass did not respond to my email about refunding
Urban Krav Maga - Jubilee Hall Gym, Covent Garden Piazza
Fun! Hands on, and straight to the point. Not a major workout unless you are super aggressive but you learn essential defense skills while burning some calories. Worth the points! Learn Krav Maga!!

This wasn’t for me to be honest. The teacher seemed nice but the location lets the experience down.I asked reception where the class was, I was directed to “in there”....where the entire gym was with several classrooms,so that was no help. The Krav Maga class was in a glass box room which wasn’t sealed off completely from the main gym floor,so it was difficult to hear the instructor over the music and gym sounds. The real problem I have with this class is that the first move taught was a 5-7 step move.I am used to boxing classes so I can follow multistep moves but could not follow this. Perhaps if it was broken down & drilled as a 3 step move then incorporate the additional moves after, it would have been better.I didn’t like that more experienced people were mixed with the beginners & were only separated out much later.I am a bit sore still from some of the grips and strikes I got from the more experienced partner. I did not build up a sweat either, so i didn’t feel it was a workout.

Urban Krav Maga - Jubilee Hall Gym, Covent Garden Piazza
good instruction, learnt a lot. no warm up or warm down or stretches but you can do that in your own time I suppose. better than all other krav maga classes I've been to.
Urban Krav Maga - Jubilee Hall Gym, Covent Garden Piazza
good for self defence but not very high energy.

No warm up, no warm down and the man obviously had no warmth to newbies. I completely agree with @classpass reviews to go with a friend as you do get very intimate- eye and nose gouging and choking!!!! I told one of the guys "watch my contacts" as he tried to do the move in full force. Thank god i was with someone sane and she was also new!! At one point it looked like a boys school playground - didn't see any technic! No mats when you fall. Saw a woman did kick in the chin.
