About this studio

The Bar Method™ is a one-hour, total body workout. It starts with a warm-up, free-weight exercises and push-ups and moves on to intense leg and seat work at the bar, then abdominal work at the bar and on mats. Every exercise includes active stretching and is followed by additional stretching to elongate the muscles just worked to give the body a long, lean, dancer-like shape. Their teachers are trained in the unique Bar Method teaching method which helps deliver a personalized workout feel in a group setting.

How to prepare

1. New students must arrive 15 mins early 2. Socks and pants required (no shorts) 3. Only non-breakable water containers allowed 4. No gum or cell phones 5. Instructors may adjust your body or call your name out in class 6. Pregnant students (new) must take prenatal class or DVD. Returning students should have a doctor’s note

How to get there

Parking is located one- half block in either direction at the Delacey and Schoolhouse (Fair Oaks Ave.) Parking Garages are free for the first 90 minutes. Metered Street Parking is also available and is free before 11am on many of Old Town's bordering streets.

I didn’t care for the workout. The instructor takes about her personal life throughout, which regular class attendees seemed to enjoy. I’d prefer the instructor do the workout and talk more about the exercise.

What is ClassPass?
