About this studio

Sweat Garage is high-intensity interval training (HIIT) in a fun, positive, motivating class. Their workouts combine treadmill running with dumb bells, kettle bells, slam balls, jump ropes, resistance training and functional movements in timed intervals. It's open to all levels because their unique system allows you to ease into it and push as hard as you want. For your first class, please arrive 15 minutes early. If you're late to your first class there's a chance you won't be allowed to attend.

How to prepare

New Clients must arrive 15 minutes early! Returning ClassPassers must be physically present 5 minutes before class time or you may lose your spot to a waitlist client. Towels are mandatory! Bring your own or rent one for $2. Managing your own sweat is required. Just like you don't want to touch other peoples sweat, they don't want to touch yours. Filtered water is available if you bring a water bottle. You can purchase water as well.

How to get there

Sweat Garage is located on Fairfax Ave. one block north of Melrose Ave. It's the same building as Coffee Commissary, The Fat Dog, Gesso and Tail Waggers. There is free parking in the building: the entrance is on Waring next to Pit Fire Grill. Metered parking is available on Fairfax Ave.

Wow. Tough class. Only one round (24 minutes on tread, 24 minutes on floor) which I've never done before.

Derek's the best! He has great energy to keep you motivated and also smiling during class.

This class is great. Interval training. Treadmill, then floor, and back and forth for an hour. High cardio and strength training. Free parking underground. Bring a towel because you will sweat- they rent them. They do have a water refill machine, but the water is room temp. Staff and trainers really friendly.

The class is tough. If you follow the entire workout (i.e. treadmill speed, incline, and distance suggestions) and complete all the exercises on the floor, you will be drenched in sweat and have your heart pumping. Blake is an amazing instructor and is motivating. I love the feeling of accomplishment after class. The class is not easy. I highly recommend signing up.

Brice was super motivating and gave me special attention on my first class, helping me to correct my form, etc. Most intense workout I've ever done -- I'm a beginner and wanted to push myself and Brice helped me do just that!
