About this studio

Sweat Garage is high-intensity interval training (HIIT) in a fun, positive, motivating class. Their one-hour workouts combine treadmill running with weight training using dumb bells, kettle bells, slam balls, jump ropes, resistance training and functional movements. For your first class, please arrive 15 minutes early. They have a unique HIIT system and they need that time to explain everything so you're ready for class. If you're late to your first class you won't be allowed to attend.

How to prepare

Towels are mandatory! Bring your own or rent one for $2. Managing your own sweat is required. Just like you don't want to touch other peoples sweat, they don't want to touch yours :) You must be physically present 5 minutes before class time or you may lose your spot to a waitlist client. Filtered water is available if you bring a water bottle. You can purchase water as well.

How to get there

Sweat Garage is located on Fairfax Ave. one block north of Melrose Ave. It's the same building as Coffee Commissary, The Fat Dog, Pit Fire Grill and Tail Waggers. There is FREE parking in the building: the entrance is on Waring next to Pit Fire Grill. Metered parking is available on Fairfax Ave.

Always a killer workout! I find the vibe here generally warmer and more inclusive than say, Barry's.. which means in smaller classes you WILL get more personal attention, whether you like it or not :) I've taken classes from Megan, Derek, and Kara, all great. Derek is a national treasure, plays the BEST music in town and will put a smile on your face even in the most brutal of intervals. The only downside, for me, are the occasional penalty rounds and treadmill races.. but I have an EXTREMELY un-competetive nature and am easily stressed out by such things. That said, you will be pushed and challenged and that's what you want right ? Go !!!!
