About this studio

Stretch ATL, where the motto is: heal through stretch. Located west of midtown in a small, friendly and cozy area called Riverside. Their studio is in a quaint little house with a Southern warm family feel, a front porch and a porch swing. Stretch ATL strongly believes that the body can heal itself, you have to move out of its way and allow it to do so. All classes offered focus on the core/gut and elongating the muscle fibers.

How to prepare

Please wear comfortable yoga or fitness attire with hair pulled back. You will need a water bottle, skid proof socks and a towel.

How to get there

Stretch ATL is located at 2051 Main Street Northwest in Atlanta, Georgia. Be sure input Northwest when putting the address in GPS. There is a similar address in East Point. There is parking in back and on street parking.

I got there a few minutes before class. A women answered the door and let me and another woman into what is basically a house with a gym space in the living room. She then disappeared after telling us where we could sit (in the only 2 chairs in two different rooms). 10 minutes after class was scheduled to start, she still had not returned and I left. It was only supposed to be a 30 minute class, so this all seemed entirely bizarre and off putting.

Great little place in west midtown. The class was small, just four reformers. The teacher was attentive. The pace was slow but it really felt like a core/stretching class. As a runner this was amazing. Was a sweet 30 minute session and I felt so much better.
