About this studio
SMX Personal Training has been serving New Orleans for over 20 years. Historically they have been strictly a Personal Training Studio utilizing the most advanced methods and equipment for an incredibly effective and efficient resistance training workout. They now also offer Body Burn: This 1 to 3 person class was designed to provide a HIIT workout that will burn more calories per minute than any other workout. This workout is performed on 3 low impact pieces of equipment: the Jacob's Ladder, Marpo Endless Rope, and a Versa Climber. All clients are personally monitored by their trainer to ensure they are safely capitalizing on every minute of their workout to ensure the "burn" of a tremendous amount of calories both during and after their workouts (Afterburn/EPOC effect).smxtraining.com(504) 236-4121
How to prepare
Please book no less than 4 hours before class time. Please wear comfortable clothing and gym shoes. In order to utilize the Heart Rate and Calorie tracking portion of the workout, a heart rate monitor will be required. After much testing they have found the Scosche Rhythm Monitor to be the very best. You may rent one from SMX at the rate of $5.00 per class or purchase your own from SMX. If you have your own BLUE TOOTH monitor, there is a possibility that it may work as well. You may bring headphones and your own music.
How to get there
SMX Training is located at 735 Octavia Street in New Orleans, Louisiana. They are 1 block from the Magazine St. Whole Foods. Street and off street parking is readily available. SMX Training also includes personal resistance training which may be scheduled directly through SMX. The new BODY BURN segment of the studio is being offered through ClassPass.
