About this studio

Hour Blast is a fun, fast paced, high intensity interval training workout that will have you in the best shape of your life. In an hour long class they combine cardio (on the treadmill) and strength/resistance training exercises (on the floor) to give you the most bang for your buck and a workout that will leave you dripping from head to toe. It is truly a full body workout. They offer a walking, jogging and running option in each class to fit a variety of fitness levels. The instructors will motivate you to work harder than you’ve ever worked before, encouraging you to get stronger, faster, leaner and more excited to exercise. 504 301 1967

How to prepare

New clients please arrive 15 minutes early to allow yourself time to sign the waiver, meet your instructor and have the class and equipment explained to you. You should bring a water bottle. Hour Blast provides water for refills, towels, mats and equipment.

Conveniently located Uptown near Loyola and Tulane Universities at 7611 Maple Street, Ste 103 in New Orleans, Louisiana. Free parking is available.

This is a great cardio and strength training mixed class. Heather offers modifications so any level can attend. I would say this class is challenging though.

Good workout. The set up wasn’t clear but the teacher was willing to help during the circuits.

When the circuits are as short as 1-2 minutes, it means you barely get your form right before switching again. Sure it “flies by” but even 3 minute rounds I feel would be a more effective use of time. Less memorizing 28 different complicated moves and shuffling from station to station in confusion and more doing one move until you’ve had enough reps to actually feel like the muscle is being exhausted. This was good cardio because you’re bouncing around the whole time, but not the best strength set.
