this class is challenging, but i feel its a little formulaic and the teacher sounds as if she memorized a script. not exactly a bad thing, but the class lacks that certain something.

This was a lot more intense than I was expecting! I thought there would be more stretching but we got right into a fast paced work out and my thighs and stomach muscles were burning faster than I thought possible. Laura was great, she gave me a run down of the class and some moves and was encouraging and helpful when correcting my form.

About this studio

The Pure Barre technique is low-impact, protecting your joints by avoiding any bouncing or jumping. Each strength section of the workout is followed by a stretching section in order to create long, lean muscles without bulk. The technique works to defy gravity by tapering everything in and lifting it up! Please be aware classes start on time and clients should arrive 15 minutes early. Doors will lock at the start of class. Socks are required!

How to prepare

1.New students must arrive 15 mins early to fill out paperwork, regardless of having been to other Pure Barres 2. They cannot accommodate anyone who is more than 5 mins late 3.Pants, legging or capris (no shorts) + top that covers midriff + socks required 4.Shoes & cell phones are not allowed in studio 5.Please let the instructor know of any injuries 6.Pregnant students: always consult with your doctor before beginning a new exercise routine and alert your teacher for modifications
