About this studio

Move Your Hyde is dedicated to bringing Power Yoga to Cincinnati. Power yoga is a vigorous style of flowing yoga, mixing long holds with faster movement. The power yoga taught at Move Your Hyde is based on Baron Baptiste’s Power Vinyasa Yoga. All classes are warm – the studio is heated from 85 to 90 degrees. The heat is ideal for shaping and stretching muscles. You will notice how your body and movements become much more fluid in a heated studio. Power yoga is great as a stand alone workout or as a supplement to your existing regiment. Power yoga works both your large and small muscles. It creates balance and strength throughout your body. Classes accommodate all levels of students.

How to prepare

Students are encouraged to bring a mat, towel and water to class. If you don't have a mat, no problem. The studio has mats for use. Fitted clothes, yoga pants or shorts and a tank top are suggested. No need to prepare for class, just show up, do your best and have fun.

How to get there

The Hyde Park studio is located on Michigan Avenue in Hyde Park Square. It is between the Breadsmith and Lululemon. Street parking is available. Do not park in the medical building lot behind the studio, they will tow your car.

Great class, wouldn’t recommend for those without any yoga experience. Quite fast paced during power yoga portion and yin can be a bit intense for a beginner as well.

Great instructor and you feel amazing after! Only criticism is that they fill the classes too much which makes it very cramped and doesn’t leave enough space.

Great class! Really liked our instructor. The room was warm but not as hot as usual - I liked this temp better but if you’re used to the inferno it might not be what you’re looking for. Otherwise we did some great flows. Have a feeling my quads are going to be killing tomorrow with all the chair poses we did!

The class and instructor were great! However I’ve noticed this studio gets extremely stuffy. I don’t mind a heated room, but there needs to be some airflow, otherwise it becomes uncomfortable and even hard to breathe.
