Low key, small class. Nothing was overly difficult or sweaty but I really felt my muscles for the next few days. Great for abs, legs and balance. Would have liked a little more stretching.

Great Teacher! Interesting format, comes up under yin yoga but is more of a slow flow with pranayama but I enjoyed it!

I like the variety of having mat, barre and surf board all in one class! Andrea is excellent!! She modified according to individual’s injury/need. My only complaint is this class duration seems too short, 45 mins, wish it would have 1 full hour :P

About this studio

Hang 5 Fitness offers the most effective, low-impact, core, balance & movement classes in Chicago. Offering 3 types of classes: Barre Pilates, Yoga Med, & the SURF Experience, full-service locker rooms, lounge, cafe and community events, located in StudiosFUSE. Barre Pilates offers a fusion format to lengthen and tone with the added bonus of balance on Surfset boards as seen on CNN, Windy City Live and FOX TV. Our Yoga Med is a meditative, restorative yoga class that helps improve your flexibility, reduce stress & make you smile. For the adventure seeking student, we offer The SURF Experience. This 45-min class mimics the movements of big wave surfing with a bootcamp style format. Small group training formats limit class size to 10 for personalized attention.

How to prepare

We welcome you to classes at Hang 5 Fitness located at 2215 N. Halsted in Studios FUSE. There are showers, lockers, internet and a refreshment cafe with snacks, coffee, juices and bakery items. Go barefoot for Surf, Barre Pilates, and Yoga classes. Mats, towels, & water available for filling up your own water bottle or for purchase in the cafe. Please bring a lock or leave items in studio. Silent Yoga classes require mats-rentals available $2. Street parking available. L-Stops Fullerton & Armitage are a few blocks away. Halsted bus 8.

How to get there

Free street parking is available north of the studio. Enter through the revolving doors and check-in at the front desk. If you are running late, text or call us. 630-670-4700 Street parking available. L-Stops Fullerton & Armitage are a few blocks away. Halsted bus 8.

What is ClassPass?
