About this studio

Evolve Fitness Group Exercise program is one of the most popular and well-attended programs in the greater Cambridge area. Their bright and spacious studio overlooks Danehey Park. The Group Exercise program offers a variety of Les Mills classes, such as BodyPump, BodyCombat, BodyFlow, as well as Zumba® Fitness, STRONG by Zumba®, Barre, POUND®, Kick It by Eliza®, Yoga, Pilates and more. A separate Spin Studio, equipped with 23 state-of-the-art Schwinn Spin bikes is also on property.

How to prepare

Please wear comfortable workout clothing, well supported, rubber soled gym shoes and bring a bottle of water. Please be on time to class. The warm up is an important part of the class and aids in the prevention of injury. Do not enter a class if you are more than 10 minutes late.

How to get there

Evolve Fitness is located in Fresh Pond/Alewife area of the North Cambridge at 52 New Street, Cambridge, MA 02138. Evolve Fitness has ample free parking. They are also easily accessible by public transportation, via bus routes 74, 75 and 78, as well as the Alewife Red Line T Station.

Spin
It was good music and the instructor wasn’t too talkative or shouty. He was also super helpful as I was a true beginner to Spin, showing me how to adjust my seat etc etc. I didn’t like the bike itself I wish there was a way to see how far forward or back you turn the resistance knob. It was way too arbitrary for my taste but once again, never having done spin I’m not really sure if that’s just the way it is. Anyway. Good class.

A fun time! The more intricate, dancier moves were often difficult for me to follow as a beginner. And if I had never taken a class where you had to follow someone's movements before, I would have been completely lost.

Not a difficult workout at all but was very relaxing
STRONG by Zumba®
It’s HIIT set to music I was going more for the HIIT and less for the Zumba so I was really happy. The music does add something to the workout too. The instructor was good.

Jennifer’s class was the most fun Zumba class I’ve ever been to.

Instructor catered to those who come frequently and know the dances, would not recommend for someone who is unfamiliar or cannot learn zumba routines quickly. otherwise, fun and fast workout

It wasn’t as much cardio as I would expect, but my arms will definitely be sore in the morning!

This class was super fun and energizing! Steph is a great instructor!
