The Gym Alternative, ELMNTL fitness is a fundamental circuit of exercises set within the outdoor elements at Woodland Mound Park. Fitness in nature truly challenges you physically and mentally to be prepared for circumstances that may arise in your daily life. The environment is constantly changing and you need to be able to adapt with it. By embracing those changes, or elements, you can more effectively manage the outcome. Accomplishing a workout at the gym, prepares you for a workout at the gym. When you challenge yourself in nature, the workout is different each time. How to prepare
Please bring water, a towel for the car and wear shoes, clothes and gloves (if you prefer them), that you don’t mind getting dirty/wet depending on weather. Classes will take place rain (snow) or shine.
How to get there
Meet at Woodland Mound Park (8250 Old Kellogg Road in Cincinnati, Ohio). If you’ve been there, they meet at the parking lot where the Weston Overlook is. If you arrive via the Old Kellogg entrance, turn right at the first stop sign in the park. If you arrive via Nordyke, head straight through all the stop signs until the road dead ends.
