About this studio

California Cycle Path offers classes in TRX, Pound, Spin, Dance/Zumba, H.I.I.T. High Intensity Heavy Bag, RUMBLE & Row. CCP Fitness was designed from the ground up with the needs and wants of Pittsburgh's fitness community in mind. Their instructors are highly qualified and adhere to best practices utilizing only sound training principles that lead to results in a safe and effective environment. They are personable people passionate about their coaching. They want to get to know you and help you reach your goals.

How to prepare

PRE-WORKOUT: You don’t want to take a CCP class on an empty stomach, so we recommend that you hydrate with plenty of water and a light snack. We suggest wearing a tank or t-shirt and form-fitting shorts or pants. We have plenty of Cycle Path Couture Apparel in the studio available for purchase. ARRIVING: Please arrive at the studio 15 minutes before your class so we can give you a tour of the studio, and help you prepare for class. AMENITIES: Bikes have cages or spd clip in. No shoe rentals. We offer, lockers, water, snacks & towels.

How to get there

California Cycle Path is located at 3635 California Avenue in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. California Cycle Path started at 3635 California with Indoor Cycling Studio & over the years have expanded to 3 store fronts side by side. Our two newest studio editions TRX Suspension Group Training Room & Concept2 PM5 Rowing Room. Plenty of street parking is available outside the studio.

The instructor Jon is amazing! Really motivating & the workouts he creates make you feel strong and powerful ! Always a great, strength building 45 minutes & pump up music to keep you going. HIGHLY recommend!

H.I.I.T. HEAVY BAG WORKOUT with John
The atmosphere was great. The instructor was very welcoming, makes you feel comfortable and definitely makes sure you have a great workout.

Johns rowing class was excellent. He thoroughly described proper form, it was a challenging class, and he was just an upbeat, lovely teacher.

INDOOR CYCLING with Eddie
Not my favorite class in Pittsburgh. The equipment does not have monitors to tell you RPM, Watts, or gears. The class/instructor I went to was NOT a rhythmic ride if you are looking to cycle on the beat. It seemed like a majority of the riders were doing there own thing anyways, but the instructor spent most of his time looking at his timer on his phone and not his riders. The music playlist was pretty good, but would have enjoyed it more if we were spinning on beat.
INDOOR CYCLING with Lauren
Lauren was amazing, no complaints there. Peppermint towels and snacks were nice. I didnt care for the music which was a bummer. Also, I think cycling is just not my thing! But I wouldnt mind trying their other classes.

Cycling sometimes takes a while to get into. I would definitely say not to give up. Try a class with one of our other instructors or possibly a different class format that we offer.
