About this studio

Better Bodies Yoga is an East Memphis studio offering Hatha Yoga, established in 2004. All of their instructors are 200-hour and above YA (Yoga Alliance) certified who teach with attention to alignment and safety. In addition to Hatha Yoga, they specialize in therapeutic yoga for injured, sport specific persons and special populations. Every class ends with their signature Savasana (final relaxation), comprised of a hot towel (cold in the heated classes) covering the eyes, and a shoulder and neck rub. 901 767 9642

How to prepare

Wear breathable and non-restrictive clothing that allows freedom of movement. Clothing should be tight enough or shirt tucked into pants so it will not fall over your head when on all fours. If you have your own yoga mat (also called sticky mat), bring it to class. We have mats for sale and rent in addition to a mat storage program. A Yogitoe towel is required for hot classes and may also be purchased or rented at the studio. Many people bring water bottles and hand towels to class.

Salty Gentle Yoga with Ruthie
I LOVED IT. It was so calming and restorative. I felt so connected to my body. Ruthie was a great instructor and provided me with fantastic aid and support. Everyone there was so nice! I cannot wait to go back. (And the salt room itself is so so cool)
Salty Vinyasa Flow: Level 2 with Ruthie
The salt cave was so cool, and the instructor was super nice and friendly. I don’t feel like the name or description of the class was very accurate, perhaps it should be updated. Vinyasa flow is one breath one movement, and in this class we held poses for up to 5 breaths. I was also expecting more challenging poses at a level 2 class, and a head/neck massage at the end.

great class! challenging but modifications available. the instructors voice and prompts were calming and accessible. the playlist was dope!

Loved Katy!! Perfect blend of stretching and active poses that were well suited for a beginner like me. I’ve so enjoyed every class I’ve had here!

Class was great. Challenging but still accessible with modifications given. the room is tight but not claustrophobically so. I enjoyed the chromotherapy-esque quality of the room.

Very relaxing and super salty!! Manda did an excellent job in leading the class and my body felt so relaxed and loose afterwards.

What is ClassPass?
