About this studio

At Ballet & Body, our mantra is simple: if you want a ballerina’s body, you HAVE TO do a ballerina’s workout! Our Ballet Body™ Barre is truly the ballerina’s workout. In this class for non-dancers, you’ll work towards achieving strength, flexibility, and elongated muscles. Class consists of 30 min. of preparatory ballet and yoga stretches, leading up to 45 min. of REAL ballet barre, with muscle lengthening, toning, and strengthening exercises that ballerinas have done for over 350 years. Ballet Body™ Barre gives you the lengthened spine, elegant posture, and habit of standing up to counteract the downward pull of staring at cell phones and computers. After practicing this workout, you will look more elegant and feel more beautiful as you work toward developing the body of a ballet dancer.

How to prepare

Please bring ballet slippers if you have them, but not necessary! Wear comfortable clothes, not too loose.

Definitely very basic ballet barre exercises, but the instructor was great and the stretch was fantastic!

This class was great!! but verryyyy difficult for those that have never danced before. It’s really nothing like Barre so I wouldn’t recommend unless you have at least a bit of experience in ballet. The instructor was lovely and very patient though :)

What is ClassPass?
