VIRTUAL Basic Beginner Ballet
see all reviewsModerate paced class with simple combinations. Sean is encouraging and gives great tips on improving technique. Michael played live piano music so it made the class especially fun to dance as the sound was excellent for a livestream class.

see all reviewsMy last couple of classes at Physique have been great. I take Barre for recovery after doing lots of HIIT and cardio / boot camps. I can’t stand when you feel no burn after barre and boy did I feel a burn. Jason kept the class flowing , played awesome music , was clearly happy to be teaching and really taught a great class. Fabulous abs section. I hope to take his class soon !!

see all reviewsAlex is one of the best. He remembers names of his regulars; is attentive during class, constantly correcting form; wastes no time during class (ie quick transitions / no annoying downtime or drawn out stretching = more work done in the hour); always gives us a ton of movement variety (we did 5 different thigh positions and 3 sets of glutes, 2 standing / 1 floor); provides a longer weighted arm series than other instructors; multiple + innovative core sets using the barre, band + ball, and most importantly, challenges the muscles + definitely makes sure that we get a burn! I will say though that I was disgusted at how filthy the studio was today - hair all over the floor and clinging to my barre socks. But class was awesome.

see all reviewsThe best! A Challenging, non-stop, full body, low impact, but high intensity workout that tests your balance, coordination, strength + muscle endurance in a completely different way from strength training / lifting. It’s pretty much a mega former class, but without the machine, using bungees + gliders instead. Caroline always puts in so much thought into her profiles to continually keep them interesting, creative + burn worthy. There’s nothing better than an instructor who truly loves what she does, wants to give her students a 5 star show week after week + who’s genuinely interested in demanding more from attendees.

see all reviewsThis was my first Pure Barre class ever, though have taken Physique about 8 times. The instructor was so nice and welcoming and corrected my form a few times. I found it incredibly challenging but rewarding and of course a great workout. Would have been very difficult to do without any prior barre experience in my personal opinion!

see all reviewsI’ve taken other barre classes but this was my first at Bar Method. It was tough! The instructor was really nice and encouraging with lots of hands-on corrections. The only issue I had was that many of the moves were described verbally but not demonstrated, so could be a little confusing for a newbie. Otherwise great.

see all reviewsVery hard and intense class! Class consisted of 3 circuits. Each circuit had 4, 45 sec TRX movements, with a 30 second cardio burst in between each, done a total of 2 times. Today class had high knees, skaters, jumping jacks, pistol squats, Y pulls, chest press, tri/biceps extensions, courtesy lunges etc.

see all reviewsGreat especially for beginners! I’ve been doing classical may pretty regularly for about six months but jumped into a class doesn’t really deconstruct each exercise as you go. I know the classical sequence now, but this class was a great opportunity for thinking about the smaller range of exercises that Julia focused on, and learning the transitions that I usually fumble through in my regular class.
