    Slow Flow IN-PERSON @ 83rd St!

Excellent class. Music was a great touch, and that little bit of cool air in the middle was so lovely. Instructor is great. At times it was a bit fast, and felt like the room was slightly overbooked, but nevertheless I left the studio absolutely refreshed and more spiritually upright.

The instructor, class and space are all amazing. The instructor specifically is so knowledgeable and does a great job at explaining the poses, why they are important and offers modifications.

Im giving 5 stars because I love the idea of outdoor yoga in the park and want these folks to continue and thrive, but I do have some suggestions for improving the class. First, the teacher should have a sign or some kind of marker to help people locate the class amid the hundreds of people milling around the meeting place. And the class should remain at the meeting place until 5 min before class, rather than walking off at 15 min before class to a remote part of Sheeps Meadow. I arrived 12 min prior to class and couldnt find anyone until class actually started and I saw a distant group in downward dog. During class, the teacher was hard to hear and seemed self-conscious about raising her voice over the sounds of the park. During transitions, it would be helpful if the teacher announced the names of the poses first, so experienced yogis can keep to a smooth flow, rather than going into detailed positioning for each limb for beginners and only later stating warrior 2.

You get the best of both worlds w Shannon as an instructor: a good workout matched with deep relaxation!! I’m definitely able to hold my poses for longer since starting my yoga journey with her. You also will find a sense of community with this group bc everyone is open, fun, and can be silly :). I love that the classes are taught at different locations so that you get to explore the city (an amazing opportunity for me since I just moved here) but also you get to break up the routine/ do something different. I think this class is perfect for committed yogis and those who are just interested/ want to try it! 10/10 I 100% recommend these classes!!!!

    Candlelight Vinyasa (UWS)

Madalyn’s classes are always well thought out with a good mix of challenging and restorative poses. She also provides modifications for all levels and personalized attention when needed. The class is also held in a nice space with a calming atmosphere, and mats are provided, which is super convenient. Highly recommended!
