    I really liked this instructor for 3 reason. 1) he actually explained how to do the floor exercises so that people wouldnt hurt themselves, 2) he had the fans on a lot during the class (this actually makes us work harder bc we dont feel like we are going to pass out!     Carl has a lot of positive energy and I liked his playlist. He doesnt overdo it on the choreography either so you can focus on what your legs are doing. He doesnt give as much instruction to resistance number so makes sure to adjust accordingly. I like him :)

    Great class. Definitely a great workout. Instructor has a lot of energy to keep you going. I would not recommend this for people new to exercise. It's a big class so there's not a lot of time for individual corrections or support so make sure you know how to keep good and safe form in your exercises before you sign up for this. It was great for me and met my needs so will definitely be back!

    This is one of those classes that sneaks up on you. You start off stretching, then introducing moves that start to work your muscles and in no time youre dripping sweat in a circuit. Nicole is a fantastic instructor, always helping to adjust your form and go over exercises a few times. Very helpful. As someone who does a lot of circuit, this is definitely an advanced class. The exercises within stations move very fast and if youre not familiar with equipment or exercises, it can be tough to keep up. Overall an amazing workout though!

    I had been to this studio under previous ownership and I don't care for the front section of the space so I was relieved this class was in the larger back area of the studio. The person at the front desk was welcoming, Denis immediately introduced himself, and another instructor who was using the space before we got started also introduced himself. The 2 dogs milling around the studio didn't seem to care about me one way or another but I tried not to take it personally. ;) Denis was a great instructor. He knew everyone's name, gave consistent positive feedback, and helped everyone with their form. It was a challenging class but I left feeling accomplished because of the positive environment.

    They’ve changed the class. It used to be run by Aleks, but now they’ve combined it with the normal CrossFit class and pushed it 30 mins earlier. Attendance has dwindled. I miss Aleks but thankfully the gym owner who runs the combined class is still great. I’ve only done one of the new format classes so far, so don’t take my opinion as gospel yet, but so far, it’s still a rockin class! Bootcamp-style weightlifting class with lots of cardio.

    Good way to wake up by working out outdoors but wish it was harder and more Bootcamp. We had many rests throughout and not much option to make the exercises harder (eg all balls for ball slams were 15lbs and heaviest dumbbells were probably 7lbs). I would have liked there to be some guided stretching at the end of class as well.

    This gym is located next to the Tonga Room inside the hotel. The locker room is pretty nice, but the class space is a little awkward since when you walk down the stairs youre basically inside it. Denice was super nice and our class only had three students. We did mat Pilates using balls as props. I had not done Pilates in a long time and this class made me remember why I love it. Its fun and relaxing and all those small movements count. The hour flew by! The one big drawback was the music - it was Muzak type music of mostly pop hits, although they did throw in the Game or Thrones theme in there too. It was annoying enough that I even would have preferred no music, and Im big on music during workouts. It sounded like we were in an elevator for a whole hour. Music aside, great class and Ill be back!
