see all reviewsGood workout. Instructor was OK … he was toggling between work duties and “teaching class.” As in, besides just going over the exercises he wrote in the board, he didn’t do or say anything to motivate attendees. Came by to me only once to give feedback on my form on pushups after I was already done doing them.

see all reviewsI liked Amanda’s class a lot. Her voice is very calming and I honestly think she could be a voice actor. There are a couple things I didn’t like about the class - she did one short section of breath to movement vinyasa. I love this style but it was cued far too fast, like at least double too fast. She also went directly into a ground series at the hardest moment in the class and it felt like we did such limited standing movement activity that I wish would’ve continued.

Also front desk will often ask to see the app to make sure it was booked — would be nice to be able to leave phone in the car and just bring the smart-watch like some classes.

see all reviewsI was originally looking for a way of building confidence in self defense and getting a good workout. That's exactly what I've found at Equip Academy, plus more. It turns out, I'm fascinated by the sport, learned to respect the technique, and take pride in my improvements. I'm still never gonna to go pro and take on someone in a ring. But my confidence and form have massively improved. My body feels stronger, my brain a tiny bit sharper, and I always look forward to the really kind, positive people I work alongside. Coach Ish is incredible and I always walk away sweaty, knowing my time was well spent.
