    Oh my gosh, the trembling muscles!! I've been to various barre classes before; mostly cardio barre (including the Cardio Barre studio that used to be down the street). I always thought that Pure Barre would be slower-paced and, well, less cardio-heavy. But I'd say that I ended up sweating the same amount. 3 minutes in and my legs were already burning. The facilities were clean, the instructor was (mostly) clear in her instructions, and everyone was really nice and welcoming. I'd go back!

My only critique is that there was a little too much arm exercises- numerous with weights plus a lot of push ups right after.     Loved Sara's Stretch and Flow class! The instruction was easy to understand and the pace of the class allowed students from beginners to advanced to do things at their own pace. Sara has great energy and she is always motivating in class! I feel like I get better stretches with the pilate machine's opposition and resistance than I would on my own or in yoga. Great class! Highly recommended if you would like to stretch out and improve your flexibility.

    This class will seriously tone you! It’s the best of bar classes combined with the real weights and workout of a regular workout/circuit training class. We used actual weights, like 8-10 lb instead of the 2-3 lb weights common to purely bar classes- which was great because you WILL build more muscle this way but can still make it through a high rep class without wanting to Jill yourself. 😂. Highly recommend. I also really enjoyed that we did more active stretching during the class.

    Great class- super fast paced and exactly what a HIIT workout should be (I forgot to mention an injury before class and as soon as Tara saw me hesitate she threw out some great modification options). Friendly staff and very clean facility with best Covid protocols I’ve seen. We all brought our own mats and were still given disinfectant wipes before and after class, masks going in and out, distancing, enter one way/exit the other. Cannot speak highly enough of this hidden gem. Hoping the bring TRX back to the schedule.
