One tip - If you’re new to SoulCycle, definitely arrive early to make sure your bike is setup properly. I had cycled other places before but was a newbie to clicking in and had trouble getting my bike adjusted once class was in swing.

I also appreciated how she went over to the newbies to welcome them at the beginning and even checked in during class. Made everyone feel welcome. It was a themed class so the playlist was great — but I’d definitely take another one of her classes.

After the class they email you your “class rank.” I think it’s helpful to get your personal stats, but your ranking in the class emailed to you seems like it’s just going to make most people feel bad. We’re all on our own journeys to improvement!

The class instructions use the bike monitors’ resistance (watts) and speed (ROM), but you could choice to ignore. Also uses small weights for arm exercises. Will definitely be back!
