    Damn! This was one of the hardest Barry’s classes I’ve ever taken. Ian seamlessly transitioned one exercise to the next, so we were constantly moving. His instructions were clear, and I loved the exercise choices. And the playlist was on fire! Will definitely look out for Ian on the schedule!

    This class is off the hook brilliant- cant feel my arms, legs are Gumby & it hurts to laugh from core work. Perfect combo of strength work, cardio and learning true kettle bell skills. Have always been a fan of Marks classes because he’s teacher, coach & ass kicker. Also, the facility is always clean, has up to date showers with good products & multiple bathrooms. Happened to meet the Operations Manager today while I was gasping for breath after class; she’s welcoming & comfortably conversational without being intrusive for those of us who don’t care for forced socialization in our workout space. Love this place! I’ll go back when my limbs are functional. Probably tomorrow.

    Jennifer’s class was my favorite! Great moves and music. Everything was cohesive and her runs were smooth. I liked how recoveries were on an incline which was different. She also shouted out pretty much everyone’s names in class to cheer us on, which most instructors I’ve been to at barrys havent done before.

    Michael ran an incredible class today. It was awesome that everyone started on treads so the instructions were clear but also he spoke very clearly and was easy to follow. He even corrected my form and that never happens at Barry’s. During some of the floor exercise examples I couldn’t see him but it’s because of the way the room is setup.

    Great workout with perfect speed pyramids and awesome lower body exercise band sets. Loved how the playlist had songs at just the right BPM for the treadmill workout. Also thought the hollow-body combos using the exercise were awesome for targeting the abs without risking the ab separation that can happen with bicycle crunches.

    So the reviews are true, Christine is actually really cool and welcoming. She takes the time to talk to you, remembers your name, asks you about injuries 1:1. She does go around during the circuit correcting form so you don’t hurt yourself. The only thing I don’t like is the warmup because you have to line up with others to do it and it’s not necessarily smooth, like you’re forced to keep up which isn’t a good feeling right off the bat to start or you’re waiting for the person in front of you. Also, since the space is small and because you’re zig zagging back and forth between stations, there’s a lot of times you almost bump into someone or vice versa. That said, it’s a tough, challenging workout and the instructor is really great so I’d still highly recommend it and plan on going back.

    BOOT CAMP

    Coach came as me about 5-6 mins late. Not good but no biggie. Class is nonstop. No breaks whatsoever. GREAT sweat. They do alot of outdoor laps. We dis 4 today so bring a long sleeve shirt to easily slip into. There’s alot of cardio and jump squats, which I prefer. First 1/2 is mainly cardio drills: high knees, planks, outside laps around the block, bear crawls. Second 1/2 is a circuit we do two tomes followed by an outside lap. No breaks at all. No slowing down. Challenging class. Good for overall toning and to blast cals. Not good if you’re a model or dancer looking to sculpt and not bulk up. We dud extended plans that can bulk up the shoulders as well as burpees & jump squats that can bulk up the legs. Literally your agent’s nightmare. I’d still def return but modify the moves as I did today to avoid jump squats/a ton of big thigh muscle work.
