Restore & Resist: A Sunday Morning Restorative Practice

see all reviewsThis class was amazing! Small (only 3 people, though I’m not sure if it’s always like that) and very informative. I liked the very relaxed and open vibe. Gii encouraged us to talk to each other and ask her questions whenever needed, which was definitely needed. I was adequately challenged for a gentle yoga class and never felt pressured to force specific poses I couldn’t do comfortably. I loved it!

see all reviewsWhat a welcoming space & instructor! It felt warm (in energy, not temperature), clean, & very beginner friendly. I was worried about not knowing the proper form to some poses, but class was held in a sort of flow with your body type way.

see all reviewsI had no idea what a wooden pillow was! It’s a wooden half cylinder that you place on the floor, similar to a foam roller. In this class, Toshi took us through a series of stretches and exercises using the wooden pillow. It felt energizing and relaxing at the same time. My body felt happier and more pain-free afterwards. Comfortable, welcoming, inclusive environment. Had no idea this place existed, tucked away on the third floor of an office building. Body & Brain has a variety of other classes that are not offered through ClassPass, so it’s worth checking out the website if you’re interested in yoga, qigong, tai chi, energy work, rhythm & vibration, holistic support, etc. I will definitely go back!
