I don’t come regularly but every time I make it to class it’s always motivating and fun and 45 minutes though brutal at times go by very fast. If managment reads the comments can I suggest a sticky mat at the door so people who don’t change shoes can’t at least get some sidewalk / subway / bathroom filth off their shoes since many exercises require us on our forearms and hands.

    Reformer Vitality

Great first class here - clean, organized space, kind instructor. Maybe it was just because one of the participants was chatty in a self- deprecating way, but there was a kind of full-class small talk thing at the beginning that made it feel more personal than some other classes I’ve taken. (There are only about 8 reformers so it’s a more intimate class anyway.)

    Reformer Core Intermediate

Lily is kind and good at making sure each student is doing the move correctly! Great workout out!! This specific class I took with her seemed to focus a lot on legs, which is fine, but I just wish I knew that before so I could prepare accordingly and adjust my non-Pilates workouts for the week to accommodate. For example if the class name mentioned something along the lines of “Pilates reformer intermediate leg day”. Either way Lily is so nice and I’d take her class again!

Joseph was SUCH a great teacher! So attentive, gave great corrections, and had such positive, encouraging energy. Will be taking this class again soon! My only suggestion is to adjust the videos to be inclusive with the spring suggestions. Right now it says “women” and “men” for suggested spring resistance and it’s not inclusive, especially considering we are in NYC. Love the model of the studio and would love for it to be inclusive and supportive of all genders of Pilates lovers.

Lovely straightforward flow, building up on each round. Good pace too (for me) in terms of the breath was actually a breath ie not a super fast cardio-type flow. Teacher instructed from around the room (didn’t even need a mat!) which I thought was great, and instructions were clear and loud enough to hear.

    Beginner - Intermediate Class

It was a different experience for me! I’ve never taken jiu jitsu before or any martial arts class before. The space is small but has enough space for floor work. Everyone was kind and welcoming. The instructor was really informative and walked me through everything. Even the partner I ended up working with was teaching me and explaining the floor work and terms. I recommend not having any jewelry on when coming in such as a septum, and any nose or ear piercing jewelry in. I was told because it was a safety hazard for me which makes complete sense but I couldn’t remove my nose piercings there. I ended up having to watch them do some floor work instead of participating because of it. Next time I will come prepared!

May is an amazing instructor. She remains focused and leads a beautiful class even as kitties jump, leap, meow all around us. ,li particularly love how she remains unfazed when I was NOT doing yoga (a kitty fell asleep in my lap).
