The playlist was excellent (2000s pop, house remixes, etc) and overall the vibes were high. Class was moderately challenging and you can definitely make it harder with heavier weights. I can’t wait to go back!

I love Yogabox but there’s a culture of people leaving before savasana and bringing/using phones in the studio room that can be disruptive and frustrating as another student. It’d be great if these sort of things could be more discouraged.

The studio is impeccably clean. the teacher was so talented and patient and she even took time out of her day after class to help me because I had questions about doing yoga with an injury that I have. She reminds you to meet your body where it’s at and if something doesn’t feel good to you, leave it behind. She offers many modifications and challenges for poses so that everyone gets what they want from the class. Her guided meditation made me tear up (in a good way). The cardio was more of a build-up and built-in throughout the routine rather than having a single cardio block. He played 70s-80s music for the class which was refreshing to me because I’ve only been listening to edm/hip hop in the last few classes.

I will say as a beginner, I probably would have benefited from mirrors on all walls as we rotated but she would move around to help keep her in our vision. I was sweaty but the mats were super grippy so I never felt like I was going to slip, but they offered full length towels (in addition to hand towels) that some laid over their mats. Music was a nice r&b lo-fi vibe to fill the silence but not be distracting. I’ll definitely return!
