It was my first time back in a while, and Sarah was great. She led a well balanced class and because it’s quieter on Sunday afternoons, I was able to not feel rushed and pace myself. The room was also about half empty which actually made visibility and the entire experience even more pleasurable.

High energy, constant movement - dance like! Loved the rythmic quality and consistency of the class. Not too many drills like other classes, very much boxing focused but super fun and challenging. Shes so kind but motivating and definitely an inspiration. Excellent coach. Ran a well-rounded, intense but manageable class, and gave patient and effective one-on-one instruction to students throughout. Im a lefty, and should fight southpaw, but rarely do bc boxing instructors always teach traditional style and its hard for me to adjust. But Willie took the time to give me specific southpaw instructions during the more detailed combinations. Also I got a better sweat than I have at a boxing class in a long time. The warm up, the core section, the boxing rounds, they were killer, in a room that I suspect was kept hot on purpose. Not a dry brow in the house! One minor somewhat related complaint. The studio gets a bit stinky of feet and other stuff. A little of the powerful air freshener I’ve noticed at other boutique gyms would go a long way here!

Love the instructor but even though he’s shouting, it’s still very difficult to hear and see him. I recommend a mic and moving the gold bag to the front and elevating it so everyone can see. Placing it in the middle is generally ideal but the pillar really restricts 3/4 of the class to see him. And since we can’t hear him either, it means half the class is unsure of the sequence. He does come around often to correct form.

This boxing class is very legit and a great bargain on ClassPass. I did notice John wrapped several student’s hands, which they don’t do at a lot of boxing places, so points for individualized attention. The space isn’t huge, but is perfectly sized to accommodate twelve people. I liked how he referred to the punches by number versus name. The only drawback was that there was no stretch at the conclusion of class. However, that’s easily remedied at home, or they have open floor space to stretch as well.

This class is an amazing find! Denise is a great MELT instructor—knowledgeable, thorough, caring. I have no idea how MELT works, but it’s an incredibly powerful tool for fixing body imbalances. It’s hard to find MELT sessions in NYC, so I’m grateful that BeFit is offering this one on ClassPass.

Very energetic and motivating instructor. Class is very intense but goes by super fast. First 25 min of class today was a combination of body weight exercises and boxing air punching variations. Nothing was done for more than 30 seconds, so you wont get bored and can be motivated to go full out for those 30 seconds. Second have of class was 8 circuit stations, each one minute long of shadow boxing, fire flips, box jumps, db renegade rows, trx rows/jump squats, Bose squats, med ball quick feet toe taps and weighted punches. Note to studio: get a big timer/clock for the room Note to class: please dont make this more of a boxing class, keep it a mix of a little boxing and HIIT

Anthony's class was super tough as always! Class is divided into 1/3 bagwork (punch/throw combos), 1/3 strength (corework/stuff with weights), and 1/3 cardio (laps around the gym/burpees/etc.) This time we had to treat a medicine ball like it was our friend - we did jump squat throws, too many laps around the gym with it, etc. It's tough but doable for all levels. You can take breaks if you need to but he really does push you.
