What is a Lunge?

A lunge is a versatile strength training move for your lower body that can be done in place or while moving across the floor. Lunges don’t require any special equipment and can be practiced anywhere, making them a great exercise for when you’re on the go.

How do you do a Lunge?

  • Step 1

    Stand straight with feet shoulder-width apart and parallel.

  • Step 2

    Step one leg forward and lower your hips until both knees reach a 90-degree angle. Your back heel should come off the floor. Clasp your hands together at your chest. Rise back to your starting position and repeat.
