How it works

About this class

This is a one hour version of our Level 2 class – a well-rounded practice in a shorter amount of time. You have an understanding of the basic poses and transitional movements of a Vinyasa class (down dog, plank, chaturanga, cobra/upward dog). You’ll get more dynamic sequences with challenging poses, subtle alignment of basic poses, and an introduction to other yoga practices.

How to prepare

You don’t have to master a one-arm handstand to practice here, but you do have to arrive at least 5 minutes early for class. Mat rentals are available at the studio for $1 cash or $2 CC - just leave your shoes at the door, check in with the front desk and make yourself at OM. In the event that a class is sold out, spaces may be given to those on the waitlist 3 minutes before class time. Please note that there is a 5-minute late policy.

How to get there

The studio is located at 135 W 20th between 6th & 7th Ave on the 6th Floor. The building’s elevator means well but is often slow, so give it a minute.

Okay. Class was kinda basic - nothing unique about it and would’ve liked hands on adjustments but she just walked around. Lovely speaking voice though

First time taking this class/visiting this studio and I really enjoyed it. The instructor was great and made the class fly by. I really enjoyed all of the twists! This particular class wasn’t very difficult but it did get your heart rate up a little.

I liked the flow - really unique. I didn’t like Lori’s sing-songy yoga voice and the music. I also felt like she was a new yoga instructor and hesitated or corrected herself a lot during class. Yogamaya should really do community / donation classes for new teachers because it’s really not the same as the teachers who have been there for a long time.

What is ClassPass?
