About this class

Located in The OpenBox, our BootCamp classes are designed to get your blood pumping, clothes sweaty and muscles sore. These classes focus on everything but the barbell: dumbbells, kettlebells, wall balls, slam balls, rowing machines, bike and ski ergs, you name it! If you are looking for a hard workout and prefer not to move barbells around in a CrossFit class, these are the workouts for you. Our coaches introduce that day's workout and guide you through a warm-up to get your body prepared. Worried about doing a push-up, pull-up or squat in the workout? Talk to our highly approachable coaching staff. They’ll offer scaling options so that you can make the most of your workout.

How to prepare

Please wear comfortable workout clothing and well-supported athletic shoes. No shoes needed for yoga and sculpt classes. A filtered water station is available or water bottles can be purchased. We have sweat-wicking hand towels available to rent for $1. All students must sign a waiver prior to class. Save time by doing it ahead of time. You can find the link to the waiver on the Facebook page "OpenBox Athletics" under the "Register" tab. There are also showers with basic toiletries. Please bring your own towel.

How to get there

OpenBox Athletics is located at 1931 Washington Ave in Philadelphia, PA. That's on the north side of Washington Ave. between 19th and 20th Streets. You can reach the gym by foot, car, bus, train, or ride share service. There is street parking available but is limited at peak times.

The class was great! Greg had a good energy. There was a ton of variation to the exercises and he offered different difficulties for each exercise so nothing was ever too hard to do, but I was SUPER SORE the next day (I say that in a good way!)

What is ClassPass?
