About this class

CORE40® Ramped class is an innovative blend of core work, cardio and weight training specifically designed to strengthen, tighten, and tone the body quickly and safely using the specially engineered, state-of-the-art Megaformer “M3" ™, along with the latest Ramped technology which inclines the Megaformer to ELEVATE your workout to the next level! If you don't wish to use the ramp technology in class, just ask your instructor to turn it off, and you'll get a modified (but still challenging) experience! This 40-minute, music-inspired, intense full body workout gets and keeps your heart rate up while targeting your upper body, lower body and core. Be careful ... you'll get hooked!

How to prepare

WHAT TO BRING/EXPECT: • A towel, if desired (CORE40 is an ecoconscious organization and does not offer towel service due to the water waste it creates). • A water bottle, which you can fill using our filtered water system • Please wear anything you might feel comfortable doing yoga or running in • The CORE40 workout is done wearing grip socks. We have grip socks for sale at the studio • For COREcycle and COREcombo classes, spin shoes (SPD clip-compatible) or athletic shoes can be worn. Please bring your own shoes

How to get there

CLASS SWITCH POLICY: Drop-ins to a class other than your reserved time/location will be charged at $35 LATE ARRIVAL POLICY: Please arrive a few minutes prior to class start time. Your spot will be held up to the time class starts, then it may be given to a standby client. If it's your first class, you MUST arrive at least 5 minutes prior to the class start time in order to get the machine rundown. If you do not arrive early, you will be asked to reschedule your first class due to safety concerns. Refer to our FAQ section for more helpful info.

Marisa needs significantly more training. It’s embarrassing and desperate of Core40 to allow her to teach. After an exercise was complete she would mention that we should have added a spring- would have been helpful to know at the beginning of the exercise. She is impossible to understand, doesn’t know what she’s doing and the workout does not flow in any logical way. I recommend skipping this class- I almost left early and it’s only 40 min long.

I usually go to another pilates/reformer studio but find that it’s a bit TOO much (lights,music). Core40 is awesome. No frills, no crazy lights and music, and the workout is harder but more fun. Will definitely be back!

Hard class if you're a beginner (I am), apparently you need to take another trainer's class, Marisa is good, but not for someone that never took this class, there was a lot of confusion on what I was supposed to do. Having said all that, it is a great class and I'll be taking it again. Very challenging.

What is ClassPass?

The number of classes you can take and the number of times you can visit a studio per month depends on which plan you're on. With hundreds of studios in our ever-growing network, you're bound to always find a new class to enjoy. When your cycle renews, you can go back and revisit those favorites yet again!
