About this class

[This Class is NOT Heated] LOCATION: 2416 CHESTNUT STREET (street level -- NOT the hot studio above Missing Sock) This "outside-of-the-box" approach is a hip-focused flexibility and mobility training and recovery class that uses active resistance stretching along with Yoga Tune Up® Therapy Massage Ball rolling techniques. Your muscles and joints will feel buzzed after this class as if they've been "released" from a prison of tightness (or weakness) and pain. This class is the perfect remedy for: tight hips, glutes and lower backpoor posturechronic hip, calf, and low back painhip, glute calf weaknesshypermobile hipsanxiety and stresssub-par performance (in whatever you do)Who should take this class? everyone!yogis (to stabilize the hips)climbersrunnersboot-campers (you need an active recovery to restore joint and soft tissue health!)young and old alikeThis one of a kind class levels the playing field. How to prepare

Students should wear something light. You're going to sweat! Also remember to bring a mat and towel. If you don't have a mat or towel, you can rent them for $3 each at the studio. Please leave your valuables at home or in a secure place. We have locks available for rent. Body Temp Yoga is not responsible for lost or stolen items. Given the popularity of weekend Sculpt classes, there's going to be a lot of love in the room--meaning a lot of sharing the space. The Hot Sculpt classes are very crowded.

How to get there

You must arrive at least 10 minutes prior to class time or you forfeit your spot and your reservation will be noted as a missed class. Please remember. There are 2 studios -- one is heated and one is unheated. The location of your class is in the Class Description. If you go to a class and something seems off then you're probably at the wrong studio. Note: The Renew studio is currently undergoing a seismic retrofit. The Body Temp Hot Yoga studio is located on the second floor above The Missing Sock Laundry.

This class is great for stretching and strengthening the muscles around your hips. Plus it gives you the ability to loosen, stretch and strengthen your body yourself. Chadd has a relaxed attitude, but definitely keeps the class moving.

Chadd was really nice and supportive especially because a mix up at the front desk resulted in me starting the wrong class (there was no one at the front desk to tell me where the stretch class was versus the yoga class, so I was in the yoga studio for twenty minutes before finally speaking up and asking if this was the stretch class). I was flustered and annoyed when I finally found the right stretch class with Chadd, but he was so kind and supportive, it really melted any hard feelings. The stretch class itself was amazing, and I learned a much of techniques to open my hips.

What is ClassPass?
