About this studio

Xtend Barre seamlessly combines elements of dance, ballet and Pilates to create a fun, fluid and fast-moving barre class. Each class incorporates cardio intervals and is perfectly timed and choreographed to music. Mix up your workouts and continuously challenge yourself to grow with specialty class offerings such as TRX, HIIT & Pilates inspired classes. Absolutely no dance background required. Classes are available to almost all levels and can be modified with guidance. Always notify instructor of injuries/medical conditions before class. 522-2580

How to prepare

Arrive early to nab a primo spot at the barre. If you arrive late (because the subway was being a jerk), you may lose your spot. No entry past 10 mins (new clients: 5). We have 3 bright and spacious classrooms, 4 changing rooms & 3 bathrooms (no showers). Mats & towels provided. Free filtered water and bottled water ($1) available. Note that we have wood floors, which we find cleaner & nicer than carpet. Socks are required in all classes. Grip socks strongly recommended to prevent slippage. BYO or purchase a pair before class.

How to get there

Xtend Barre Brooklyn is located in Brooklyn Heights just steps from the Borough Hall subway station (2/3/4/5/R trains). Just a few blocks away are the A/C/F trains at Jay Street.

I love Nicole's class! She gives great direction and is very encouraging. I'm not a huge fan of splitting the fold over in half though - seems like the second side is so much harder after more plies.

I love Amber and I love Xtend Barre. Most barre classes follow one format but there is something different about Xtend's classes every time. It's so much fun!

Amber is the absolute best. Her energy, corrections, and descriptions of the movements make her classes so hard but fun. Suspend is my favorite class - amazing low impact full body workout.

The music could use a lotttt or help. But The instructor was very sweet and this studio has great vibes.
