About this studio

Truve is a 7,200 square foot private training facility, born out of the idea that health and fitness do not conform to the one-size-fits-all approach. You’ll find balance at Truve — balance between home and work, strength and flexibility, relaxation and focus, and so much more. Truve offers over 85 classes per week, everything from Spin, yoga, dance, and Pilates to bootcamp, barre, TRX, bodysculpting, and so much more to suit your tastes and accommodate your schedule.

How to prepare

Truve provides FREE parking located in the lot directly behind the building. One can enter the parking lot off of 24th st between Broadway and Valley. In the case of construction, enter on 23rd st. Let the attendant know you are headed to Truve. Otherwise come in appropriate workout attire, including shoes.Spin shoes are not provided, but bikes do work with SPD clips. Water bottle filler and fountain and hand towels are provided.

How to get there

Truve is located at 2345 Broadway, between 23rd and 24th st and directly across the street from the Oakland YMCA and in between Firebrand Artisan Breads and Sweet Bar Bakery. Truve is part of the Hive Development in Oakland. If coming from 19th st Bart, walk north 4 blocks. Bicycle parking is available in front of Truve or in the secure lot behind the building.

Dance Fit Fusion
This class is so much fun! Definitely a good cardio workout. There isn’t a set routine, so it’s easy for a newbie to join in. Andre does a great job of giving people a chance to get the rhythm of one movement before moving on to the next.
TRX Bootcamp
Great exercise, the instructor Andre was very engaged and gave good feedback to all the students. The music was great motivation. All the staff are kind and the facility is clean.

Fernando was great! Intense class, good vibes.
Flex & Stretch
This class is pretty basic stretching. Sometimes we were not offered much guidance and I felt a little lost, but again, it’s very basic. It was not at all aerobic or strength building. Done on a mat in socks or bare feet. It could totally be your jam to take time out for this - but it was too low key for me.
Yoga + Barre HIIT Express
Not a very challenging class, also not in a traditionally heated room.

This class was a great and strenuous workout, however the instructor had very low energy and lacked the inspiration to keep us motivated.

Really energetic welcoming teacher. I don’t enjoy the cycling gyms out there. This was nice change of pace from that. Great workout will definitely go again. Ps okay to wear regular tennis shoes

Andrea was great but I was very put off by the Truve employee who came in before our class was over and started setting up her yoga mat. It was really disrespectful to our class.

What is ClassPass?
