Barre isn’t my favorite workout, but this class was good. Madison was supportive and corrected my posture so I got a good workout.

Good workout. instructor a bit too perky for my taste, but I think that's the branding. Also it took me a while to realize she meant butt or glutes when she kept saying, "seat." We are all adults here, and we have butts, not need to talk around them.

About this studio

The Pure Barre technique is low-impact, protecting your joints by avoiding any bouncing or jumping. Each strength section of the workout is followed by a stretching section in order to create long, lean muscles without bulk. The technique works to defy gravity by tapering everything in and lifting it up! Empower classes are high-intensity, with a cardio aspect focused on keeping your heart rate up and pumping by utilizing cardio bursts throughout the class. Please be aware classes start on time and clients should arrive 15 minutes early. Doors will lock at the start of class. Socks and knee length or longer pants are required (i.e., no shorts).

How to prepare

1.New students must arrive 15 mins early to fill out paperwork, regardless of having been to other Pure Barre locations 2.They cannot accommodate anyone who is more than 5 mins late 3.Pants, legging or capris (no shorts) + top that covers midriff + socks required 4.Shoes & cell phones are not allowed in studio 5.Please let the instructor know of any injuries 6.Pregnant students: always consult with your doctor before beginning a new exercise routine and alert your teacher for modifications

How to get there

Located right off of the Eastern Market metro, we suggest utilizing public transportation to get to our studio. There is only metered and zone parking. The front door is always locked from the outside and you will need to ring the buzzer to be let in. We are located on the 2nd floor. See you soon!

What is ClassPass?
