About this studio

The Pure Barre technique is low-impact, protecting your joints by avoiding any bouncing or jumping. Each strength section of the workout is followed by a stretching section in order to create long, lean muscles without bulk. The technique works to defy gravity by tapering everything in and lifting it up! Please be aware classes start on time and clients should arrive 15 minutes early. Doors will lock at the start of class. Socks are required!

How to prepare

1.New students must arrive 15 mins early to fill out paperwork, regardless of having been to other Pure Barres 2.They cannot accommodate anyone who is more than 5 mins late 3.Pants, legging or capris (no shorts) + top that covers midriff + socks required 4.Shoes & cell phones are not allowed in studio 5.Please let the instructor know of any injuries 6.Pregnant students: always consult with your doctor before beginning a new exercise routine and alert your teacher for modifications

I am used to another kind of barre class so its hard to say if I didnt like it because of that, or if I would not have liked it anyway. It is a very fast-paced class, only doing each series for ten or less seconds which is kind of annoying. The instructor was good, but did not give examples of any modifications, and didnt take the time to introduce herself.

This class was AWESOME. Katie is upbeat but not pushy. She didn't rush us, but made sure we kept pushing ourselves. I was new, and she always made sure I understood what move we were doing. If I weren't on a post-wedding, grad-student budget right now, this class would be my regular thing. I highly recommend it for anyone who wants a fun but challenging way to tone up and feel stronger with fast results. Thank you, Pure Barre!
