About this studio

The Pure Barre technique is low-impact, protecting your joints by avoiding any bouncing or jumping. Each strength section of the workout is followed by a stretching section in order to create long, lean muscles without bulk. The technique works to defy gravity by tapering everything in and lifting it up! Please be aware classes start on time and clients should arrive 15 minutes early. Doors will lock at the start of class. Socks are required!

Pure Barre Classic with Emily
I do purebarre when [solidcore] doesn’t fit into my schedule. The studio is not as intense as [solidcore] and I don’t get as good of a workout but it’s good. Music in [solidcore] is always a lot better and I like loud music which is different from the vibe at pure barre. Also the classes at pure barre are usually crowded and I don’t know if they limit the number of people per class like they do at [solidcore]. Cueing could also be better- when there is a ton of people it’s hard for the instructor to check if everyone is doing it right!

Instructions can be vague and hard to understand

This was my first time at this studio and trying pure barre. I had to take off two stars for the fact that if you don’t have socks they make you buy them. Which is not that big of a deal but for the fact that it is $18! Totally ruined my excitement to try a new studio. Many studios have clean socks they keep on hand for regular clients or even first timers (who they should be trying to impress). Staff was nice about it but it is definitely something management should try to remedy to keep newbies from being turned off at the start. The studio is carpeted and was crowded on a Sunday but the teacher was great and pointed out corrections to posture and form which was very helpful. If you are looking to compare this to barre3, I think this is harder and the vibe is more serious. Barre3 is light and fun and pure barre is more about very specific targeted form-intensive movements so it is more intense and serious. I like that they have free garage parking downstairs which is a huge plus.

Pure Barre Classic with Emily
The class was great but they crammed too many people into such a small space.

Some instructions unclear but good workout still

The new set by coach Liana killed me, so sore!! I think this must've been the best barre class in a long time.
