About this studio

Obsidian® Fitness in Sugar House Alley is the home of the high intensity, low impact Obsidian® workout that was patented and trademarked right in Utah by studio owner Lacey Bruschke. As a boutique-style fitness center, Obsidian Fitness provides group fitness classes (limited to no more than 16 participants) and personal training led by their team of certified personal trainers. The Obsidian® Slide Board workout combines cardio, resistance, core, balance, flexibility, active recovery and weight training into an all out fun 60 minutes of calorie-burning and toning. Get ready to mountain climb, lunge, squat, and slide your way to the ultimate level of fitness!

How to prepare

It is critical you arrive at least 10-15 minutes before your first class so the trainer can help you get familiar with the Obsidian Board and set up your equipment. You will also need to sign a liability waiver. Please create an account at https://www.wellnessliving.com/rs/book-process.html?id_place=4&dt_date=2018-06-19+00%3A00%3A00&k_class_period=1739366 Wear comfortable shoes (we will provide the booties and mitts). If there is wet weather, please bring your shoes as wet booties don't slide! Filtered water is available bring a water bottle

How to get there

We are located in Sugar House Alley at 1989 1100 E. You will see the alley entrance (driveway) on the east side of the street between the Post Office and Best Friends Animal Society. Pull into the alley. There is ample parking located in the back. Parking signs will say 'Sugar House Alley' or 'Dash/Obsidian Fitness.' Please do not park in Sugar House Parlour or ETC reserved parking.

It was a good class but not my style. Seems like a great studio for a class that won’t break a lot of sweat (not high intensity) or leave you too sore. Similar to Pilates in many ways.

What is ClassPass?
