Great space and energy. Super friendly staff. Pace of class was reallly slow. For 9 credits and an hour of precious time, I need more than half an hour of total actual movement (class maybe wasn’t even that!) and a better-rounded mix of targeted exercises. So much standing around and explaining of exercises and discussion. Partner work expected partner to “rest” for long periods of time while other partner worked, and solo work was 3 whole minutes allotted to doing only 3-5 reps of 2 exercises and then expected to “rest” and wait for countdown to next set. Really not time efficient at all or conducive to getting a solid, thorough workout in. All in all, individuals did a total of literally only 4 different exercises (with a short warm-up at the beginning) and as stated spent half that time resting or spotting their partner.

Everyone is so welcoming! The instructor was great and made sure to fully explain the moves and kept an eye during class to make sure I was doing everything properly!

How to prepare

For first timers, please arrive 15 minutes before class.. Let the front desk know you’re a first timer and they’ll get you well acquainted and sign any waivers. Otherwise, you can sign in on the iPad. Please bring athletic wear and indoor shoe, as we keep the facility clean for you! Please make sure to eat small meal or snack at least an hour or so before. We suggest a good source of protein and some healthy fats. Also, bring a water bottle and be sure to hydrate before and during class! Once here, your coach will take it from there!

How to get there

MOVE is located in Unit 105B at 388 Carlaw Avenue on north west corner of Dundas and Carlaw. Parking Weekdays - metered parking on Carlaw available outside of rush hour time (free before 7am or 9am and after 6pm depending on which side) and free parking on the surrounding residential side streets. Impark lot across the street as well. Parking is free at back of building after 5pm! Weekends - Sunday free before 1pm on Carlaw. TTC Walk 2 blocks north from Queen St car stop at Carlaw or take Pape Bus to Carlaw and Dundas.

What is ClassPass?
