The Saturday 9 AM Slow Hatha Flow led by Kotone Daxini was exactly what I needed after days of international travel: a back-friendly, unheated practice in a space defined by light wood floors, hanging plants, and soft natural light filtering through vertical blinds. Kotone's instruction was bright, precise, and perfectly bilingual—making the international mix of students (roughly half Japanese locals, half expats and travelers, including a few other men) feel completely at ease. Observation: the foreigners were punctual while a few locals trickled in fashionably late. No judgement, Japan! The operational details reflect a quality-first approach. They provide premium B MATs— a Canadian brand known for superior grip— and all necessary props free of charge. I booked via ClassPass for 5 credits, which turned out to be the most efficient system for my short 3-day Tokyo window. Travelers here for a full week should definitely look into their ¥5,000 "First Timer" 3-class bundle instead. A rare, reliable asset for anyone needing English-friendly yoga in Minato City— especially during the holiday blackout when most boutique studios go dark.

see all reviewsi really liked the class and its structure. the instructor makes sure to check every student whenever she introduces a new form, which was really helpful. the music also helped a lot with pacing the movements. one thing to note is that the class is conducted in japanese, so if you don’t speak the language you might have a bit of a hard time fully understanding the instructions. the only downside for me was the spot i got — back right, near the door and next to the lockers. it was a bit inconvenient because i couldn’t really see my form in the mirror or clearly see the instructor without trying to adjust my position. but overall it was still a great class and i’d definitely come again.

For certain areas (bench press; squat rack; smith machine; pulley machine) you’re required to write down your ending time (staff mentioned it’s max 20min use). I enjoyed the experience and would recommend it to travellers looking to drop in to a gym - note that you’ll need to sign a waiver when checking in, and if you have tattoos they need to be concealed.

I was a little nervous since it was a private session, but the instructor was really helpful and paid close attention to my movements throughout. Honestly one of the best classes I’ve been to, she was great at motivating me, and the compliments she gave during class felt genuine instead of forced.
