Surprisingly really fun. My first class taking any kind of MMA and the instructor was extremely friendly and thorough in his explanations. Really good for pent up aggression - I went in with a bad attitude and came out feeling amazing
Boxing/Kickboxing
Definitely got a great sweat! Learning form and technique as a beginner. Felt welcomed as a new atendee
Fighter-Fit Circuit Training
Ian is great!
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (No Gi)
This particular class had a sub Julian who trained fast & hard!! I was lost most of the class & felt like I was slowing down the others with more experience. The class listed as “all levels” yet I didn’t see space for newbies. Not a drop-in, beginner pace whatsoever. Julian was joyous & laughed a lot, He moved quickly through moves with multiple steps in sequence & I was los!. He repeatedly showed me & I kept losing my way. Kudos to his tenacity! A good lesson in random & uncomfortably for me! Fun to laugh at myself! It was as if I stared in an episode of I Love Lucy— fish out of water, comical moment!! Yes, I realize there’s a learning curve & one cannot be perfect without practice, but this was not the class to stumble into— I’m giving fair warning! Seems as if a slower intro option for those on the first day may be best? Be prepared to be drenched in sweat, yours AND OTHERS via sliding action of full body contact.
Boxing/Kickboxing
all professional fighters and coaches here! if you’re looking for a no-frills gym, this is your place. you jump into sparring right away after warmups. it’s probably best to bring a mouthpiece and your own gloves but it’s not necessary. this is definitely going to be my go-to.
Boxing/Kickboxing
loved this class! I was the only woman in the class and got no special treatment! Loved it! I’m not a boxer and as a beginner I think it was a great experience
Boxing/Kickboxing
The workout was great but the studio and setup on classpass can definitely use some help. As a first time student there I didn’t feel too comfortable and would’ve appreciated a quick rundown of things. The studio itself has a major odor when you first walk in. I got used to this but they could work on it- I wanted to walk back out when I first got there. All in all, not a beginner-friendly class but a great workout that will kick your butt!
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (No Gi)
Derick is awesome and cared a lot to show us a lot of pointers, as beginners.
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (No Gi)
Ian was so attentive to everyone in the class. I am a beginner myself and I felt super welcomed and learned so much! Will definitely be returning.
Boxing/Kickboxing
Had a really great workout! I don’t have much boxing experience so would have appreciated some additional coaching but I understand this is a class and they have to cater to everyone. I was able to borrow boxing gloves for free which was great. I would maybe recommend doing an intro class somewhere before coming here. I definitely left sweating and will be back again.
