How to prepare

Please arrive at least 15 minutes in advance of your appointment. Please also note that you are reserving a specific appointment slot with an assigned practitioner at Castle Rock Cryo Care, so if you need to cancel your reservation, please do so as early in advance as possible! When you arrive at Castle Rock Cryo Care for the first time you will be welcomed by their friendly staff and they will ask for basic medical information and for you to sign a liability waiver. A majority of people are able to do Cryotherapy, the few exceptions are extreme allergic reactions to the cold, pregnant women and any severe heart conditions. To prepare for your cryotherapy session, you’ll go into one of their private changing rooms, where you’ll change out of your clothes and put on a freshly laundered robe, socks, gloves and footwear. You’ll step into the cryotherapy sauna, remove your robe and then be surrounded by nitrogen vapor for 2-3 minutes. Your skin will never be in touch with any surface or liquid. You’ll be standing the whole time, with your head outside of the sauna. After the cryotherapy session is completed, you’ll put your robe back on and move into the “Warming Room” where you can sit in one of the comfy chairs and watch TV, listen to music, or read, while your body warms up naturally. If you are receiving a Cryo Care Facial feel free to arrive with a clean face or they will provide a wipe to clean your face before the session; keeping your makeup on is also ok.
