Bend + Bloom is a vibrant studio offering over 65 inspiring yoga classes per week. It welcomes and embraces students of all abilities and backgrounds. B+B encourages each student to find their unique path toward well-being by offering a purposeful menu of high-quality yoga classes and workshops to support your evolving life. Enjoy organic tea and cookies after every class, browse the boutique, and launch your yoga education through special workshop offerings and teacher trainings. Located right off of 5th Avenue in the heart of Park Slope, Bend + Bloom is the perfect setting for veteran yogis to deepen their practice and for brand new beginners to explore the transformational power of yoga.

How to prepare

Wear comfortable clothing that you can move in. Bring your own yoga mat or rent one from us for $2. Please bring your own hand towel if you need one. We offer filtered water for you to fill your own bottle. LATE POLICY: If there is room you can quietly slip into class up to 10 minutes late for our 60-minute classes and up to 15 minutes late for our 75- and 90-minute classes. Wait until the class is moving to enter and find your space mindfully. If a class is at capacity, you will lose your spot if you do not arrive by the start of class.

How to get there

The studio is conveniently located in the heart of Park Slope on Sackett St between 4th & 5th Ave. SUBWAY - R train to Union St (2 blocks to studio). Atlantic Terminal is 9 blocks away. BUS - The B63 5th Avenue bus line stops one block away at Union Street. CAR - Street parking is available on Sackett and 4th Ave (though often difficult to fine!). Metered parking is available on 5th Ave.

This class was the definition of zen, not what I expected initially but certainly worth it to quiet all the noise and really get in tune with your mind and body. Disclaimer: Not a flow class very minimal movement Thank you Karen.

A LOT more relaxed than I anticipated. Almost like a modified nap session. Still ended the class feeling really relaxed and ready for bed.

I think its important for instructors to ask before touching people if they consent to it. Nothing was inappropriate but I prefer verbal to physical instruction.

She was fantastic! So knowledgeable and personable.
Forrest Yoga with Rachael
The instructor made some really inappropriate comments about not eating a burger before class (I didnt! Just a weird comment she made when I said a pose that made us put a rolled blanket under our stomachs made me feel like throwing up)...it was totally bizarre. I always love this studio but I dont come to yoga to be food-shamed!

Thank you so much for your feedback, we take it very seriously and spoke to the instructor about this. Her intention was to explain that she couldn't demo the pose because she had eaten a burger for lunch before teaching. We (& she) apologize for this miscommunication and assure you that she did not intend to insinuate any food shaming. We hope you'll return soon, and please email if you'd like to discuss this incident further.
