Barre Body is a full body workout fusing ballet barre conditioning, yoga and Pilates. It specifically targets and tones your lesser-used muscles.

How to get there

Barre Body Flinders Lane is located at 175 Flinders Lane, between Russell & Swanston streets. The nearest train stations are Parliament (8 minute walk) and Flinders Street (3 minute walk). Most parking nearby is 1 hour so they don’t mind if you come in right on the class start time and leave a few minutes early if you need to. All that they ask is that you either stay for savasana (rest at the end of the class) or sneak out quietly before savasana begins.

Fantastic and challenging class using a band and free weights. Great mix of core, strength and cardio with a very nice cool down/stretch at the end.

Low intensity but still felt the burn. Great for beginners and Vanessa was great, very gentle and clear with instructions. Great choice is exercises too

Big beautiful studio but makes it hard to follow, hear and see what the instructor is doing, especially if it’s your first time. The class is non stop. Have done this class in Fitzroy and it was a lot more enjoyable and less like an aerobics class. Also the mats are super slippery. Hard to hold planks, etc.
