This was the first in person class I’ve taken since March 2020. I used to have a very regular, strong practice. This was the perfect class to come back to. Jamael had such a mindful, compassionate presence and his flow was challenging while still flowing together seamlessly. Fantastic instruction. I loved every second of it. Great workout that’s half cardio on the treadmill (but they keep it interesting with interval training, I’m not a runner and I find it engaging and fun) and half strength training with body weight and free weights on the floor/bench. A true full body workout, fast paced, gets you sweaty, but you can also adjust to your level and no pressure to do the same pace as others. Dark room with clubby lighting and music but felt very welcoming to a first timer, didn’t give me cliquey vibes like some studios.
