    VINYASA YOGA

This is usually a great class. This was stressful. Instructor was calling out poses rapid fire and then upset when we forgot them. Each ten pose flow needed to be done in unison as a class and we were encouraged to “keep up with your partner”. If the whole class is doing something wrong or positioned wrong, this falls on the teacher. Not the class. And yet we are told it’s our class and we can make it as gentle as we want it to be. I love Purenergy. This class was stressful and loud.

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu – No Gi

My first time taking any class is always nerve wrecking. I’ve always admired Brazilian Jiu Jitsu & today I finally had the guts to attend. Coach John was substituting and he was very welcoming. Unfortunately, the 7p is more advanced, but he and the advanced ladies Mila, Michelle & Gwen were patient and kind teaching me basic fundamentals. They even allowed me to try the warm-up and some of Coach John’s moves of the day. Everyone was super welcoming, so I appreciated the impromptu intro to Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. I’ll be back for the 6p here at UFC CM or maybe try to the ladies gi at UFC HB. Good stuff!
