see all reviewsGreat class and lovely instructor but for me personally this didn’t really serve my preference of strength work. I attend the Block Strength classes to increase my strength and weight load as the exercises are usually targeted at heavy and slow weight lifting exercises so you can go heavier than you might normally want to try. This class was more varied strength work including a fair bit of body work as well so it would be fine if that’s what you’re after.

I like how this class is a full hour vs most of the classes I’ve taken at other studios being only 45 minutes. Really good value for the credits & is tailored for any fitness level. Highly recommend!

see all reviewsFinally tried the legendary Barry’s on my visit to London. I didn’t realise it would be so brutal and as someone who works out regularly, I died (in a good way). This location was lovely and spacious. The changing room was big and clean with great amenities. The service was also good from reception to the trainer. As a first timer I also got a complementary protein shake which was a nice touch.

Lovely changing/bathrooms. The gym could be sign-posted better from the street and would benefit from a reception that is close to the entrance to welcome you in/keeps its door open. see all reviewsJabez is a skilled and mindful instructor, I really liked his class and I appreciated he came to give us advice and adjustments to do the exercises better. The only two things about 1Rebel that I don't really like are the fact that the classes are too short... 45 mins for a challenging pilates class means that you are rushing from exercise to exercise without the correct posture. I think 60 minutes would give everyone the time to get in the correct posture and do the exercise correctly, allow for breaks if needed, and adjustments. Also, I like the atmosphere but the lack of light in the room means that you can't really check yourself out in the mirror to see if you are doing things correctly.

But she gives multiple options to suit everyone’s fitness level. It’s always a challenging whole body low impact workout, but you’ll leave happy, 100% guatanteed. And the classes are never the same, evey time when I go it’s a new, exciting, fun flow. Love it so much! Also, this was my first time at Broadgate, very nice, clean, fab studio, but make sure you leave enough time to find it, it’s a bit hidden (or at least for my “horrible at directions” head).

Je pense que c’est judicieux car là par ex il s’agissait d’une séance d’1h (et non 45 min) ce qui aurait pu m’interpeller. Mais tant mieux, le test était hyper intense (et intéressant) et très bien guidé par Yohan, donc satisfaite ! 😌

I found the “LITE” class to be a good option as there was room to make things harder if needed, but it certainly wasn’t “easy”. For context I am someone who runs but hasn’t had much experience with weights etc. The perfect challenge you can tailor to your own needs. Thank you!

You do break a sweat and get the heart rate up and feel challenged but there’s such a lovely emphasis on being kind to yourself throughout and some more spiritual stuff that’s just very well done.
