I think for a beginner weight lifter it might be hard to follow along because it goes so fast - but why not learn when you’re getting so much hands on support and tips on form from kind instructors? And it will help beginners learn exercise and proper form and technique to weight lift outside of the F45 setting I think, so very educational

see all reviewsCP was great. Easy to talk to, and great trainer. This class is good for functional strength as the name suggests (Functional 45). Not amazing for hypertrophy but a good way to get your fitness journey started. IMO classes like F45 exist simply just to keep people accountable. The workouts are okay, but nothing you can’t find on YouTube. If you’re someone who can’t be consistent in the gym, F45 is a great way to keep yourself invested. The classes aren’t cheap, which is probably good to motivate those who have low motivation.

She’s introduced totally new techniques, incorporates props in a thoughtful way - plus, the beat of her music is perfectly curated for each movement which makes the workout go by so quickly. I find this distracting for my workout and disrespectful to the instructor when a rider spent 1/3 of the class on their phone. Makes for bad atmosphere! I really appreciated the attention to detail and the more intimate class size. I had to swallow my pride a little bit lol but it’s for the better!! 😂. I’m new to pilates so been shopping around different studios in the city to find a pilates class that aligns with what I’m looking for. The classes here are small (we had 4 people) but its also intimately challenging. I loved the intentionality behind it and how given the small class; the instructor was able to correct my form. I also appreciated how she guided us through the breathing while doing the movements. I find this the hardest with the studios I’ve been to — they do the movements but never tell you when to breathe in and out. As a newbie, I’m always unsure and constantly do it backwards. So I really appreciated the constant reminders because that way I know I’m actually engaging my core and not just doing the movements. Will definitely be coming back to try their other classes! Bonus: love supporting women owned businesses!

I actually went home and looked up the research behind power-plate, the fat loss claim is inconclusive, however the strength and stretching evidence is very clear. Overall amazing alternative exercise for those looking to try something new. Fraser was an amazing trainer, has lots of experience and great taste in music. The owner was helpful and very kind. I genuinely hope that this studio flourishes. Highly recommend, I will be back.
