    Love Solid Core and I especially love Lauren’s class! Today she worked the hamstrings with a series of exercises in the supine position. My hamstrings were screaming (in a good way!). The prompt to lay the feet flat and to do your best to keep toes down (I usually have just the heels down and toes up) really activated my hamstrings in a more intense way.     I really like Basecamp’s class style. You alternate between a minute on the bike and a minute doing an exercise of some sort - typically strength but ranges from deadlifts to burpees to kettleball swings. It does take a bit of time to figure out what station you’re rotating to (and the switch time reminds me of a bee hive) but overall it’s a super efficient and effective workout that works well for my ADHD! Love to incorporate it into my schedule.

Nick was taking Missys class which I always think is a great sign - sort of a fitness-industry dogfooding. The class was challenging, but still fun. The 40-minute asana portion was more difficult than expected, mostly because of the strength needed to hold each posture. With both wraps and gloves for you to borrow, as well as class limits and free street parking, this is an awesome workout option. The class is a combo of shadow/bag work and strength/conditioning. During the bag work, Heidi came around and gave critiques on form which I definitely needed and were appreciated (very rusty!). It may be a little challenging if you’ve never boxed before, but doable. I will certainly be back anytime I’m free during one of Heidi’s classes. So great to explore another type of fitness.
