    Not sure if it was due to being my first Barry’s of the year, but this class was HARD! The uphill running treadmill circuit killed me, and the dumbbell exercises were super difficult. Instructor recommended 15 lb on the lighter end, but I feel I should’ve gone for 12 lb. at times the instructor was hard to spot when she was demonstrating floor work because she tended to move around and sometimes I couldn’t see her well

    Jen asked people if they had any injuries, which was great. She corrected form. Only issue, and maybe I’m wrong, is that perhaps she could suggest lower weights or modifications for people who didn’t appear to be executing the exercises properly, but appeared to be executing improperly due to lack of strength, not lack of knowledge.

    Loved it! Didnt leave feeling like I got a super intense workout because they have someone help the beginners learn the basic moves (AMAZING RIGHT) but I noticed what the regulars were going and they all seemed to be drenched in sweat and dying. Once I learn the basic moves and rhythm, I think itll be both a great workout and a great way to build a skill. I was floored by how attentive and sweet they were, I felt so welcome. There was one lady who was kind of grumpy and yelled at me for stepping on some kind of mat with my shoes (ha ha), so it may have been helpful for them to tell me that I couldnt walk on it with my shoes because I was there 30 minutes early. Loved it!!

    This was an awesome class and it was a very nice, clean facility with a lot of neat fitness toys to play with. I came on a good day for my first class it was very interesting because Mike used a deck of cards and depending on what card we picked, we did the assigned exercise and it was very intense and it was a great workout.
